Hello Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello again! For those of you who forgot my name my name is Nika. On my last post these are the following things that I wrote:

  • Fifa11
  • wii
  • soccer
  • Manchester United

I want Man Utd to beat Arsenal and Chealsea google to zer0.

Manchester United will get back Owen Hargreaves, and Mike Owen after both of them had an injury for a very long time. Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov is on fire after he scored 5 of United's 7 goals in their 7-1 win against Blackburn. Man U's A choice keeper will retire. United are linked with Ajax keeper M. Stelenksburg I think I did not spell his name correctly, and Italian keeper Buffon. Wayne Rooney has still not found his goalscoring run. He scored an 87 (pen) against Rangers to secuire United to the Chamipons Leauge playoffs.

Bye,

Nika

My First Time Blogging

Hello! My name is Nika, and this is my first time blogging so I will tell some things from the past.
I like soccer. My favorite team is Manchester United. They rock! I have a wii, and have 4 Fifa games. Here are the name of my soccer wii games: Fifa09, Fifa10,Fifa10 South Africa World Cup, and the newest Fifa game: Fifa11!!!!!! I also have a Fifa10 DS game on my DS.
Since I really like Fifa11 I decided to do my research project on Fifa11. I also decided to do my how to writing on How to Play Fifa11 on the wii (Hit the pitch mode.) My favorite soccer player is Wayne Rooney who plays for Manchester United. Of course whenever I play Fifa11 on my wii my team is Manchester United. Rooney is the penalty taker for my team. I have a Manchester United jersey. I am a fan of Manchester United soccer team from England. My team has not lost a game in the preimer leauge. Our next games are very hard in the preimer leauge. First United have to verse Arsenal, and the last year's preimer leauge champions: Chealsea. I am going to watch United face Chealsea no matter what!,but if somebody dies in my family I am not going to watch it. If somebody dies that day in my family I will be very :(. My favorite is soccer!
I am in Ms. Hudson's class + math class this year. We had 2 parties so far because our class earned 200 marbles. 100 marbles = 1 party. We had a PJ party, and a Kelly Party. Ms. Hudson is the best teacher ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also like to play soccer, watch soccer on TV with other shows mostly on Cartoon Network.
Bye,
Nika

The Good Deed Month by Ms. Hudson's Class

In keeping with the spirit of giving and celebrating holidays during this season, Ms. Hudson's class has decided to participate in the Good Deed Project for the month of December. We made a list of good deeds we could perform each day. We then cut them out into strips and put them in a jar. We select a new deed every school day and try our best to practice that deed for the day, including at home! We'll let you know how we did at the end of the month.

Working with the Kindergardeners by Destiny Mosley

This is when I went to Mrs. Chaffman's class to read to the kindergardeneners. The worst thing about it is I didn't get to play on the new equitment today. But it was really really fun. But I don't remember the names. I will tell you what we worked on. What I read to the first kid was The Baby Owls. It was interesting. I liked it. The second kid had the same book. The third kid had well I forgot. I really hope I read again.

the bomb dropper by Matthew Broadman

Well... I have to say we need an extreme makeover door addition!!!!!! I am playing the trumpet and I have to say, I stink. I mean sure its the beginning of the year but I can hardly ever get a note and when I do its always "Matthew don't puff your cheaks or don't slouch, it messes up the note." So today after class I asked Ms. O'Roarke what I can do to improve and ka-boom!!! She dropped it. She said, "Matthew I really think you should try the baritone." I kid you not my jaw shattered the carpet. Seriously the case is up to my chest and if I'm 5 feet tall I am toast and jelly[no butter, butter spoils everything]. The case is also about 2 feet wide!!!

peace out,
Mattman [matthew broadman]

Faster by Paulina Duque

Faster and faster runs the water through the streams. Fisherman is hoping to catch a little treat. Soon it is winter; the farmers grab their ginger so they have something to eat. You might find a feather in the snow, but that would be an interesting sight to see.

A Ghost Story by Katie

Today was a Wonderful Wednesday. I think our class should be called Ms. Hudson's happy class. Today we wrote a ghost story in Mr. Pile's creative writing class. Here's my ghost story:

Freak or Peak
One night it was rainy. It was a thunderstorm! I was alone in my room when my cell phone rang and I answered it. All I heard were sounds like "grrgliegoor" and then I openend the window to see if it was still raining but I kept my cell phone to my ear. Then a thunder bolt hit my phone and I fainted. When I woke up I was in a creeky old house where the electricity went out. I couldn't see much but I saw a black cat scurry on the floor and stairs. I walked up the stairs and noticed only one door in front of the stairs and I walked in. Then I noticed a little purse on the floor. I closed the door so if anyone was here they wouldn't suspect a thing. I walked toward the purse and opened it, nothing but a little sack of dust in it. Well fun was fun but I had to go home. I tried opening the door but it wouldn't open. I was locked! I saw the sack and took it from the purse and 12,000 freaky monsters came out from the sack! I ran into a closet and then monsters were knocking. I saw another sack and opened it. Little sparkling blue dots rose and tapped me. One gave me the power to fly. The rest gave me other powers: strength, shrink, grow, and bat super scream. I flew out from the closet and killed them all.

A Game at Recess by Declan Slattery

There is a game at recess called Vampires. People who were vampires tried to tag other people. I was on the ladder and I fell off. I landed on my face and got hurt. I am not good at that game. I will never play that game again. My personal experence was very painful. That game scares me! Maybe I'll write a vampire story about it in class!

Our week By Jamison

Today at recess I was playing keep away and I got the ball and ran and then I passed it to Andrew, then I played basketball and I won by 2 points. Today in math we worked on line graphs, it was really fun. I finished my rough draft for my Popcorn story. In library I got the book, QUARTERBACK SNEAK. Yesterday we picked our table names my tables name was The Recycling Dolphins, and we got to make a flag and decorate it. Today my Declan slid in the hallway. So far this week for table points we are tied for the lead with the Big Fluffy Bears. This week for jobs I am the blogger. Look for more posts from me; hopefully a video too!

Welcome 2010-2011 Students

Dear Students,
Welcome to Fourth Grade!!! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I have been teaching at Laytonsville for three years now. I have been a teacher for 11 school years. I have taught 2nd to 5th grade! Fourth grade is my favorite because you get to study the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, and Native Americans.

I live in Olney with my husband, Dave, son, Kelly, and dog, Jameson. I love to surf and my family is originally from Ireland; that's why we named our son Kelly. Kelly Slater is a very famous surfer. Kelly is also a popular boys name in Ireland. It means warrior. My favorite things to do are read, surf, hang out at the farmer's market, recylce, and spend time with my family.

I can't wait to hear all about you!
Love,
Ms. Hudson :)

My Thursday by Tommy Werking

In band we learned the G scale on our violins. I figured out that in class I had a little piece on my violin that you can blow in to. When you blow on it, it makes the A sound. We all played "Rocking Fiddles" and we played along with the piano. I felt more understanding with the beat of the piano when we were playing along with the whole band and the piano. Most of us were taking different sets of the song. I took the middle part of the song and Keara took the first and Josh took the last. When I was playing I got the hiccups and started hiccupping in the middle of the song so I couldn't hit the right notes. I started holding my breath and then I had to sneeze. When I sneezed my bow hit me in the face and then Josh started asking me if I was ok and when I answered him I was holding my nose because I had to sneeze again. He continued playing but then his bow hit my violin so it made a really weird sound. When my hiccups came back, I kept on hiccupping and my chin rest kept on hitting me in the neck so I started rubbing my neck at the end of instrumental music. That was my Thursday this week!

Slip and a Bad Fall by Kaitlin Johnson

On a Sunday afternoon I went to a friend's birthday party and it was almost time to leave for cake and I fell flat on my back and it knocked the wind right out of me. The birthday girl came over and asked if I was ok and we went to sit down. I took a break for a while and then we left for cake. My sister and I went in the birthday girl's mom's car and we went to the house for cake. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood.

Sincerely,

Kaitlin Johnson

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone! I had a awesome party at my friends house! Then we came downstairs to blow our kazoos. Finally I went back home and drank sparkling apple cider and took pictures. Then we shot out bottle rockets. So I hope you like your New Years Eve and Christmas!

Bye,Bye - By Kelly Williams

Zack Caicedo left our school last Tuesday. He is now at a school called Thurgood Marshall Elementary School. He started off being a big distraction. Then he stopped talking as much and started getting more friends. I hope that everyone will miss him. I hope he likes his new school
as much as he liked this school. (if he liked our school)
